While the activity started in 1999, Goyman.com was created as a legal entity in 2002. At first we assisted end users with all different sorts of computing needs then, with our assignments growing in complexity, we moved to IT.
In 2002 we built our very own small datacenter, with a capacity of 650 rackunits. We housed critical applications on Sun hardware for 6 years.
In 2010 we abandonned IT entierly to focus on software development, mainly web based applications using Ruby on Rails and Cappuccino.
We are also working on sides game projects using Unity 3D.
We believe that using a computer should be easy and fun while being productive. It is important to us for each application we create to be beautiful, simple, stable and fast.
We work from a user perspective. When we design an application, we always starts from the user viewpoint. Our first goal is to imagine and form the end user experience. While creating the user interface and experience, we are aware of the technical implementation we will create later on, this gives us a great liberty while avoiding technical pitfalls. This approach also give us greater flexibility through the developement process. In concrete terms we create interface mockups and complete statecharts before writing our first line of code.
